Start durch den Lärchenwald, über den alten Fernpass, eine Runde um den kristallklaren Fernsteinsee, weiter nach Nassereith

Starting from Ehrwald @ 1.020 meter you take the paved mountainroad (first 4-5km). Then you go off on gravel roads leading you to Ehrwalder and Hochfeldern Alm. Making you crossing the border Austria - Germany going to the Knorrhutte. From the Knorrhutte it's quite a scramble up to Sonnalpin which most of the year holds snow. The last 1km up to the summit is a real 'via ferata'. You should save some serious energy to concentrate on that part! The summit @ 2.929m gives an awesome view on the Eibsee.
